Ingredients
300g Oyster mushrooms
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1/2 cup Milk (or plant based milk)
Seasonings
Oil for frying
Preparation
Step 1
Create a batter by combining flour, seasonings, baking powder and the milk in a bowl. In another bowl leave some flour for later. Chop the mushrooms into the desired size.
Step 2
The the mushrooms in the batter until they are fully coated. Lightly dust the batter with the dry flour (this will keep them crispy).
Step 3
Heat oil in a saucepan to approximately 170°C. Gently place battered mushrooms into the oil and fry until golden.
Step 4
Once cooked, remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce and enjoy!
